"For "Naked Blues Volume II", K.K. Martin is at the other end of the spectrum, because there is just him, his guitar, and a microphone, and thus his talent has to shine thru and shine thru brightly, and believe me, on this Album, is does all that and more." BLUES UNDERGROUND

"More than a 'follow-up' to Naked Blues, 'Naked Blues Vol II' stands on it's own. K.K. Martin will be remembered in history as one of those player who really 'gets it', and always has."

K.K. Martin has a Newly-Minted Endorsement from Cream T Pickups, one of the world's premier makers of guitar pickups who are also represented by the likes of ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons and Matt "Guitar" Murphy, and who will soon add Martin to their "Signature Solo" roster of endorsers. This in turn exposes Martin to a worldwide audience through the powerful distribution vehicle umbrella of ITunes.

Naked Blues Vol. II has received radio airplay on over 100 U.S. stations,. including the internationally-syndicated Blues Deluxe Show. Martin constantly stays busy with headlining appearances at numerous festivals including back-to-back years at Real Blues Festival of Orange County in addition to local gigs throughout Southern California, and in particular, his home base of Orange County. Add to this the great reviews for his Naked Blues Vol. II album have received, and one would have to agree the Blues Gods are smiling on the fortunes of a musician whose excellent playing belies his laid-back, Zen-like personality and demeanor.

In April Martin presented "Blues For the Rising Sun,"a Long Beach-based Blues Relief Concert whose proceeds aided the victims of Japan's earthquake and tsunami.

K.K. Martin - Some Background

K.K. Martin was a founding member, lead guitarist, singer and songwriter for 80's-era band A La Carte. The group gained considerable renown as one of the most in-demand groups on the then-vibrant Sunset Strip music scene. Exposed in the womb to the music of Jimmie Rodgers. Robert Johnson and Hank Williams, he began touring with his parents at age 10. K.K. was transplanted to California in 1969 and cut his teeth on the local L.A. rock scene at age 16, landing a brief stint with the Albert Collins backup band. Martin has performed with a Who's-Who in the music business including Eric Burdon, Booker T, Rick Derringer, Johnny Winters, Blondie, and currently, Lester Chambers of famed R&B/Soul group The Chambers Brothers. K.K. was a recipient of "Outstanding Blues Artist" at the 9th Annual Los Angeles Music Awards in 1999. In the last decade, Louisiana native Martin has reconnected with his Blues roots. He toured with Lester Chambers of the 60's Chambers Brothers fame, recording a project with Lester called "Blues for Sale". Martin has continued to play extensively throughout L.A. and Orange County as a solo act as well as with the band Roadside Revelers.
