Sweet Home Chicago - Foghat

Foghat is a British rock band that had its peak success in the mid- to late-1970s. Their style can be described as "blues-rock," or boogie-rock[1] dominated by electric and electric slide guitar. The band has achieved five gold records. The group remained popular during the disco era, but their popularity waned in the early 1980s.
The band initially featured Dave Peverett ("Lonesome Dave") on guitar and vocal, Tony Stevens on bass, and Roger Earl on drums. After leaving Savoy Brown in December 1970, they added Rod Price on guitar/slide guitar and formed Foghat in January 1971. Their 1972 album Foghat was produced by Dave Edmunds and had a cover of Willie Dixon's "I Just Want to Make Love to You" which received much airplay, especially on FM stations.

It Hurts Me Too

"It Hurts Me Too" is a blues standard that is "one of the most interpreted blues. First recorded in 1940 by Tampa Red, the song is a mid-tempo eight-bar blues that features slide guitar. It borrows from earlier blues songs and has been recorded by many blues and other artists. Unfortunately I can't find any Tampa Red footage. Foghat was formed when Savoy Brown (Kim Simmonds) decided he didn't want to depart so far from the blues and into rock. The basis of the band went off picking up Rod Price on slide guitar and made a good career. This is Foghat playing their Savoy Brown Blues Roots. Both Dave Pevrett and Rod Price are now gone, but the legend lives on.
