At the age of 15, he started playing guitar and singing, during frequent stays with his Auntie Pattie, Will was encouraged and mentored by the legendary guitarist, Eric Clapton. Will studied performing arts in Oxford at Oxpens College, achieving a National Diploma while honing his guitar skills at the historic Carfax Crossroads. He eventually formed his first band, Cloud 9 which broke Will onto the stage and created a life long passion for performing with his guitar.

Whilst living in L.A., Will Johns bumped into his old friend, Jesse Wood (son of Ronnie) and together they formed the band GLYDA. The band had success releasing an album and three EP's, and wooing audiences in the US, Ireland, France, Germany, and UK.
