The Mark Pontin Group,or MPG for short are a three-piece blues/rock outfit based in Swansea,South Wales.Following a tradition that stretches back to the days of bands such as Jimi Hendrix Experience and Cream,the band play with top class musicianship,utilizing power,subtlety and dynamics.Improvisation is a key feature,and the band work on good interplay between the musicians.Members have shared stages with Albert Lee,The Hamsters,The Cult,Eugene Hideaway Bridges,Snatch It Back amongst others.
